Dr. Aviva Romm is a Family Physician specializing in Functional and Integrative Medicine. A graduate of the Yale School of Medicine (where she also completed her Internal Medicine Internship), Tufts Family Medicine Residency, and the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine in Residency program, she brings 30 years of experience in nutrition, yoga, and natural living to her medical practice. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Romm was a practicing midwife and clinical herbalist specializing in women’s and children’s health.
Because of her unique background, Dr. Romm is able to address not only the symptoms but also the root causes of illness. Conditions she treats include: insulin resistance and diabetes, “brain fog,” weight problems, heart disease, frequent infections, fatigue, headaches, allergies, autoimmune conditions, digestive problems, endometriosis, hormonal imbalances, thyroid problems, adrenal “burn out,” menopausal concerns, infertility, and children’s behavioral issues. She knows that the epidemics of chronic disease and overmedicalization are preventable and reversible through lifestyle changes, good nutrition, stress reduction, and knowledge.

In addition Dr. Romm is on the advisory board for Yale Integrative Medicine, the American Botanical Council, and the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia.
Dr. Romm is married with 4 grown children, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter.
