KATHIE SWIFT, MS, RD​N​, LDN, ​FAND, EBQ ​is a Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and holds a Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Arizona State University. Before joining Dr. Hyman at The UltraWellness Center in 2005, Kathie spearheaded the ​Functional Medicine program at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA​ where she served as Nutrition Director for 10 years.
Kathie shares her passion for the healing power of food through her work with patients at The UltraWellness Center. ​

She has directed the Center for Mind Body Medicine’s ‘Food As Medicine’ programs for almost two decades. ​Her culinary nutrition skills and clinical experience lead her to develop the recipes in Dr. Mark Hyman’s best-selling book, UltraMetabolism. ​​She is also the author of The Swift Diet and co-author of The Inside Tract, books which focus on digestive health and include hypoallergenic meal plans and simple recipes to​ support healing​.​ ​​​Her commitment to healthcare education ​and mentoring lead her to co-develop the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy, ​a​ comprehensive​ online training program in functional nutrition for health care professionals.​ Because of her innovative work in integrative and functional nutrition, she has been awarded both the Visionary Leadership and Lifetime Achievement Awards by the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine.​

Kathie is certified in QiGong, a meditative movement therapy and is a​ travel and​ outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, skiing​, and swimming​​.
