The UltraWellness Center Garden

At The UltraWellness Center we believe that good nutrition starts in the ground. High quality plants start with the best seeds that are nourished with organic soil, clean air, and fresh water. The where, how, and when of growing and harvesting food makes all the difference in the nutritional content of our meals and their environmental impact.
The local food movement continues to gain momentum as the sustainability and nutritional quality of mass-produced crops are increasingly called into question. The UltraWellness Center supports the local food movement and recently partnered with a local grassroots organization—the Greenagers of Berkshire County—to install a 4’ x 8’ raised bed next to the clinic. The Greenagers’ Front Lawn Food Program is helping families and businesses in our local community grow their own organic vegetables. What makes the Front Lawn Food Program unique is that for every raised bed purchased, the Greenagers install a raised bed for a low-income family in our county who would otherwise have difficulty sourcing local, organic produce.
We encourage everyone to do what they can to get back to the earth. Don’t worry, you can start small. Grow a few herbs on a windowsill or if you’re feeling ambitious, fill a small planter with leafy greens. They will grow quickly and provide you with a bounty of fresh food. Your body and the planet will thank you, we promise!
