Personalized Clinical Therapies
We are dedicated to helping you achieve optimal health and vitality through our clinical therapy services.
At the UltraWellness Center in Lenox, Massachusetts, our Personalized Clinical Therapies are administered by licensed, board-certified providers and designed to work alongside your functional medicine care plan.
These treatments are not one-size-fits-all. Each protocol is tailored to your individual health history, lab findings, and treatment goals.
Our clinical therapy offerings include Pharmaceutical Grade IV Nutritional Therapy, oxygen-ozone therapy, nasal ozone insufflation, prolozone therapy, and the PK Protocol, as well as immersive four-day IV support programs for patients traveling to our Lenox clinic.

Pharmaceutical Grade IV Therapy at the UltraWellness Center
Intravenous (IV) nutrient therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other therapeutic compounds directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system for maximum absorption and effect. At the UltraWellness Center, our Pharmaceutical Grade IV Nutritional Therapy is prescribed and overseen by our functional medicine physicians and physician assistants, with formulas customized to each patient’s specific needs and health goals.
IV therapy is appropriate for a wide range of patients — from those managing complex chronic illness to those focused on prevention, performance, and healthy aging.

How Our Pharmaceutical Grade IV Therapy Differs from an IV Bar
Not all IV therapy is the same. The IV bars and hydration lounges that have become increasingly common offer pre-mixed, standardized drips — the same formula for every customer, regardless of their health history, lab results, or clinical needs. Our approach is fundamentally different.
Individualized treatment plans
Every formula we administer is prescribed by a licensed functional medicine provider based on your individual health history, lab work, and treatment goals. There is no standard drip. Your formula is specific to you.
Mixed fresh for each patient
We do not use pre-mixed or off-the-shelf IV formulas. Each infusion is compounded fresh for the individual patient before their appointment — ensuring potency, accuracy, and clinical appropriateness.
Pharmaceutical-grade sterility standards
Our formulas are compounded in a clean room under a UV hood, meeting pharmaceutical-grade sterility standards. This significantly reduces the potential for introducing anything opportunistic into the therapy — a standard that IV bars are not required to meet.

Oxygen-Ozone Therapy for Chronic Illness, Inflammation, and Immune Support
Oxygen-ozone therapy has a long history of safe use to support and improve health. At the UltraWellness Center, we use medical-grade ozone to activate the body’s own healing mechanisms — inhibiting inflammatory pathways, activating anti-inflammatory pathways, and increasing the body’s own antioxidant and detoxification systems to improve overall health.
Ozone is a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms (O₃). It also improves oxygenation and blood flow throughout the entire body, which tends to decrease as we age. Our immune cells naturally produce ozone, but sometimes it can be helpful to have a boost.

Why Oxygen-Ozone Therapy
Ozone and oxygen can significantly improve biochemical pathways and metabolism in the body that support healing. It can be used for a whole range of health concerns by helping the body activate its own healing mechanisms including:

Nasal Ozone Insufflation for Sinus Health and Upper Respiratory Support
Nasal ozone insufflation is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that delivers a precise blend of ozone and oxygen into one or both nasal passages. The treatment is quick, requires no preparation, and is designed to comfortably support sinus and upper respiratory health.

What to Expect
The treatment takes only a few minutes. A small catheter is gently placed into one or both nasal passages and a controlled flow of ozone-oxygen is delivered. Most patients experience little to no discomfort. There is no downtime or recovery period.

Prolozone Therapy
Prolozone therapy is a regenerative injection treatment that combines ozone gas, a local anesthetic, and anti-inflammatory nutrients to stimulate repair of damaged joints, ligaments, and soft tissue. At the UltraWellness Center in Lenox, Massachusetts, we offer prolozone therapy as a non-surgical, non-steroidal option for patients dealing with chronic pain who have not found lasting relief through conventional treatments.

What Does Prolozone Treat?
Prolozone therapy may be appropriate for patients with:
- Patients looking to avoid or delay joint surgery
- Osteoarthritis (knee, hip, shoulder, spine)
- Chronic joint pain
- Ligament laxity or joint instability
- Tendon and soft tissue injuries
- Pain that has not responded to NSAIDs, cortisone injections, or physical therapy

How It Works
Prolozone delivers a precise combination of ozone (O₃), procaine, lidocaine or xylocaine, and restorative nutrients directly into the affected joint or soft tissue. Ozone acts as a mild oxidative signal that stimulates fibroblast activity, collagen production, and tissue regeneration — while reducing inflammation at the molecular level. Unlike cortisone injections, prolozone does not suppress the immune system or accelerate joint deterioration. Instead, it works with the body’s own repair mechanisms to restore function and reduce pain from the inside out.
Pain relief can be immediate for some patients. Others see cumulative improvement across three to six sessions. A typical initial course involves one injection every one to two weeks, with a maintenance schedule adjusted based on individual response.

Is Prolozone a Steroid?
No. Prolozone therapy does not contain corticosteroids. It is a non-steroidal treatment that uses ozone gas, a local anesthetic (procaine or lidocaine), and anti-inflammatory nutrients such as B-complex vitamins. This makes it an option for patients who are concerned about the systemic effects of steroid injections or who have not responded well to them.

Is Prolozone Safe?
Prolozone therapy has a strong safety profile when administered by a trained provider. It is minimally invasive, carries a low risk of systemic side effects, and requires no general anesthesia or surgical recovery. Some patients experience mild discomfort or temporary soreness at the injection site. Serious adverse events are rare. Prolozone is not FDA approved and is not covered by Medicare or commercial health insurance.
Relative contraindications include uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, thrombocytopenia, severe cardiovascular instability, seizure disorders, and pregnancy. Our providers review each patient’s health history prior to treatment.

What to Expect
The procedure itself takes only a few minutes. The injection site is marked, cleansed, and sprayed with an anesthetic before the prolozone mixture is administered. Most patients describe a brief sensation of pressure during and immediately after the injection.
Post-injection:
- After 72 hours: Gradual return to normal activity
- First 24 hours: Rest the joint, avoid heavy lifting or high-impact activity
- 48–72 hours: Light activity such as walking is typically fine
Pricing
- Initial Prolozone MD/PA consultation visit: $300 (50 minutes)
- Joint injection: $200 per site
- Soft tissue injection: $150 per site
Prolozone is not covered by insurance. Payment is due at time of service.
