Dr. Hyman is a practicing family physician, the Head of Strategy and Innovation at Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Functional Medicine, and a multi-time #1 New York Times Bestselling author.
is Board Certified in Family Medicine from Albany Medical School, and she is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner and the Medical Director of The UltraWellness Center. Dr. Boham lectures on a variety of topics, including Women’s Health and Breast Cancer Prevention, insulin resistance, heart health, weight control and allergies. She is on the faculty for the Institute for Functional Medicine.
graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, specializing in Integrative Functional Medicine, and is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. He has been practicing Functional Medicine for over 15 years focusing on Optimal Aging, Bio-Detoxification, Gastrointestinal Health, Systemic Inflammation, Autoimmune disorders and the Neurobiology of mood and cognitive disorders.
is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is Board Certified in Family Medicine from Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington, Pennsylvania. He is also an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. Dr. Papnicolaou established his own practice: Cornerstone Personal Health dedicated to the Functional Medicine Model. Dr. Hyman invited him to bring his expertise and twenty years of experience to the UltraWellness team. He specializes in treating the root causes of many conditions including Neurodegenerative disorders, ADHD, PANDAS/PANS, gut and hormone health.
received her bachelor of science and her doctor of medicine degrees, with honors, from the Ohio State University. She completed residency in internal medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. and is triple board certified in internal medicine, integrative medicine and lifestyle medicine.
earned her Masters in Health Sciences from Duke University and is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. In addition, she has training in energy healing and is currently pursuing a certification in biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Prior to joining The UltraWellness Center, Kristin worked for several years in primary/urgent care and for ten years in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Rachel earned her Masters of Science in physician assistant studies from Springfield College and is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. Prior to joining the UltraWellness Center, Rachel worked for several years in emergency medicine at hospitals in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She has also worked with a Functional Medicine practice providing online support and resources to clients.
Mari is a Physician Assistant (PA) with an Associates Degree from Albany Medical Center Hudson Valley Physician Assistant Program. Mari is currently training in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Prior to joining The UltraWellness Center, Mari worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Division of Rheumatology at Albany Medical Center working on clinical trials in Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. She and her colleagues contributed to publications regarding the use of disease modifying drugs used in the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis and were part of the clinical trials of then novel biologics.
Emilie Goudey is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston. Emilie specialized in emergency medicine, working at major trauma centers as well as local hospitals in Berkshire County. In 1993, Emilie joined Canyon Ranch, and held several management positions at the Lenox property, including Corporate Director of Health and Healing and General Manager. Emilie has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and lectured on a variety of topics related to health and wellness. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Emilie has been a student of Kenyukai, Okinawan Karate, for 25 years and is a 4th-degree black belt.

Our Nutritionists have been uniquely trained and have many years of experience integrating the science and art of Functional Nutrition Therapy. We understand that giving you a generic diet plan based on a medical diagnosis is simply not enough to foster optimal healing. Our nutritionists create personalized plans, tailored to each patient.
Functional Medicine Nutritionist
is the Nutrition Director at The UltraWellness Center and holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University and ongoing clinical training through the Institute for Functional Medicine. She focuses on food allergies, digestive disorders, inflammatory conditions, pediatrics and sports nutrition.
is a registered dietitian who received a Masters degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. She has experience working with adolescents and their families dealing with complex gastrointestinal conditions. She has additional training through Center for Mind Body Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine.
After many years of dealing with chronic illness diagnosed as an undergraduate at The College of the Holy Cross, Annette began looking for other options in hopes of avoiding medication. Annette turned to nutrition as a solution, which opened her eyes to the world of Functional Medicine. During her journey with nutrition, Annette completed an elimination diet, followed by a FODMAP diet. Seeing the beneficial impact of changing her diet, Annette went back to school to help others improve their health with food.
is a Certified Nutrition Specialist who completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Massachusetts in dietetics and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport. Her internship was completed with a Naturopathic Doctor who specialized in hormonal health and gastrointestinal disturbances. During this time she designed plans for men, women and children using a food as medicine approach to health and healing. Since then she has worked in corporate wellness as well as on the team at the private practice, Lizzy Swick Nutrition LLC. specializing in women's health.
is a registered dietitian who received a Bachelors of Science degree in nutrition from the University of New Hampshire. In addition, she recently completed an accredited certificate of training program through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. The intensive year- long instruction combined a systems biology approach to health with an in-depth concentration on root cause of disease, coupled with therapeutic dietary treatment, and stress management techniques.
holds a Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Arizona State University. Before joining Dr. Hyman at The UltraWellness Center in 2005, Kathie spearheaded the Functional Medicine program at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA, where she served as Nutrition Director for 10 years.
Lauren is a registered dietitian who began her professional career in financial services, helping small businesses and entrepreneurs receive funding. During this time, Lauren deepened her interest in mindfulness practices and the healing properties of food. Lauren began her study of nutrition at Bauman College where she completed a Holistic Nutrition Consultant training program. During her career transition, Lauren worked as a Community Health Promoter, supporting public health campaigns to deliver nutrition and health education to a variety of populations.

Earned a Bachelors of Science in nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and completed their accelerated second bachelor’s nursing program. Bailey is also certified as a National Board Health and Wellness Coach. She is experienced in acute care as a float nurse - primarily in the medical/surgical, oncology and telemetry floors, as well as the psychology unit. Through her own diagnosis of a neuroendocrine tumor at the age of 18, Bailey developed a passion to become a nurse and an interest in Functional Medicine.
Ashley completed her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing through Southern New Hampshire University. She has experience in acute care nursing, starting her nursing career on a med-surg oncology unit and transitioning to hospice care. Ashley has always been interested in functional medicine, feeling there was more to patient care than constant prescriptions. She has been interested in the “why” people become ill and knew there was more to nursing than treating every symptom. Her interest in understanding the underlying cause of disease brought her to functional medicine and working at The UltraWellness Center.
is a Registered Nurse and Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach. After many years practicing Chiropractic medicine and nursing she developed a deeper interest in Functional Medicine and the value of the therapeutic relationship in health care. She has advanced training in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine. Her pursuit in healing began at the age of 15 when she enrolled in training that included guided imagery, distance healing, and meditation. This launched a lifelong quest in the healing arts and personal development resulting in the accumulation of broad and diverse knowledge.
Sue Wallingford RN, BSN earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. During her last semester she specialized in Pediatrics. Following graduation she began her career at Duke University Hospital as a Medical Pediatric Nurse and Team Leader. She worked with children diagnosed with critical illnesses including cancers, Cystic Fibrosis, kidney disorders, as well as Pediatric neurological conditions and children with cardiac and congenital heart diseases. Caring for her patients as part of a team she gained knowledge and experience and worked closely with hematology and oncology/chemotherapy.
Kelly began her healthcare career and nursing education while enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and completed her degree in Sciences of Nursing in Upstate New York. She has worked in a variety of specialties from Medical/Surgical, Hospice, and Cardiology but found Emergency/Trauma Medicine to be her passion. Through varying acute care situations and differentials along with her own discovery and diagnosis of Hashimoto’s Disease, her interest for functional medicine began. Kelly is pursuing a Masters in Clinical Education for sciences in Nursing with a focus on bringing the idea of the body as a synergistic system and encourage future nurses to think outside of the "Pill for every ill" motto of allopathic medicine.
is a Licensed Practical Nurse who graduated from the Waynesville School of Practical Nursing in 2016. She has experience in geriatrics, as well as being a nursing assistant. As a former member of the United States Army as well as being a spouse of a retired veteran, she has traveled in and out of the country and experienced a variety of cultures.

Michelle arrived at the doorstep of coaching like so many others through a pathway of stacked up life experiences. Her professional career began as a Family Therapist and a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) with a strong interest in theology that led to a second Master's in Arts & Religion. Michelle spent the better part of 2 decades helping families make change and transformation a priority.
